I’m drawn in by Kevin Smith’s humor and his reputation as a genuinely likable person; it makes you want to root for him right away. He’s funny and pleasant—hard to dislike that combination. It’s even more engaging because he seems truly enthusiastic about everything, even when the excitement feels somewhat manufactured, like in his YouTube reviews. There's an honesty to it that makes the artificiality amusing. His comments about Ben Affleck were particularly hilarious, especially considering their mutual friends and the fact that Affleck was a fairly good Batman. However, this felt more like a stand-up performance than the usual Q&A format. He leaned heavily on prepared jokes, and while his delivery was solid, he’s at his best when responding to questions, where the humor seems spontaneous and originates from Kevin Smith himself rather than feeling scripted. Essentially, it's Kevin Smith performing stand-up comedy, so you will probably laugh and find yourself liking him enough to appreciate whatever he does. Though he does interact with the audience, he’s funniest when fielding questions and shines brightest when forming a more personal connection with people. Don’t anticipate anything as exceptional as his other shows; still, it's something you'll likely enjoy simply because of his personality.
