I wasn't prepared for this film, so while I’m not upset with how it turned out, the score reflects what I felt it was worth. The actors and director are unfamiliar names to me, but that wasn't really why I didn’t connect with it. The plot seemed ordinary, reminiscent of Keanu Reeves’ 'John Wick', concerning just how far someone might go for an animal—though here, it was framed as a rescue effort. Perhaps that’s where the title came from, though I’m only speculating. It presented a potentially captivating concept, but the script itself wasn't strong enough. There weren't any particularly inventive moments or lines of dialogue. The attempts at humor were acceptable, but I’ve encountered better examples in similar movies. The story involves two relatives who decide to spend time together while one is dealing with a breakup and the other's family is away on a trip. Things appear normal until an unexpected arrival—a kitten—is meant to lift their spirits. However, when the cat disappears, they set out to find it. Thus begins their mission, which involves pretending to be infamous drug traffickers as they face numerous obstacles; whether or not they achieve their goal is what the film intends to show in its conclusion. I lost interest immediately upon seeing the promotional images, because those posters that were clearly trying to copy other well-known films just didn’t impress me. I also find this kind of premise tired and unoriginal these days. It's an unremarkable movie, though it could work as a passable B film. The production quality was high, but the overall project didn't live up to that standard. The final reveal wasn't bad, but ultimately predictable. If you’re content with a straightforward and somewhat ridiculous idea, then this might be enjoyable enough. _4/10_
