The character Kayara is really impressive. It’s kind of like Mulan, though with a vibe similar to The Emperor’s New Groove. This movie has all the enjoyable aspects of that film in a lighthearted adventure set in an Inca jungle—though it was written by people who aren't from that culture. I bet there are some cultural missteps, but at least it wasn’t made by Disney and I could understand the Spanish dialogue, which gave me a little boost to my ego.
