I’ve always considered Jackie Chan to be a likable person, yet I've never really been impressed by his films; he’s amusing, but they just don’t appeal to me. That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed the initial "Karate Kid," and this remake turned out to be quite good. It featured performers I appreciate, had a well-constructed plot, and managed to evoke some genuine feeling.
