Kalki 2898 AD feels like a collection of borrowed elements, drawing heavily from Mad Max, Star Wars, Dune, and Blade Runner 2049. Given the film’s substantial 600 crore budget, the visual effects are surprisingly poor. The lead performer, Prabhas, continues to struggle with his acting abilities. The narrative is thin and unoriginal; the script lacks purpose, and the main actor delivers a truly awkward performance. There are far too many drawn-out slow-motion sequences, and an excessive number of unnecessary cameo appearances. Ultimately, Kalki 2898 AD proves to be a letdown—it’s not worth spending money on. This is yet another failure for Prabhas.
