I’ve always considered myself a fan—a male Belieber, really—and maybe that colors my view somewhat, especially given what happened in 2013 and part of 2014. Still, this is a genuinely good film. Those who are devoted to Justin Bieber will likely find it appealing; I certainly appreciated being able to watch it without having to deal with screaming fans—I was seventeen then and felt fortunate to have the screen mostly to myself. But I suspect those willing to approach it without preconceptions could also appreciate it.
