When news broke about the planned releases of _Batman V Superman_ and _Suicide Squad_ in 2016, I told myself that even though _Man of Steel_ hadn't been to my taste, there were two distinct DC films on the horizon, and I’d give them both a shot. If at least one appealed to me, I was prepared to invest further in this franchise. Unfortunately, neither film won me over. I never really connected with Marvel movies when I was younger; I was completely devoted to Batman. So it was a difficult choice, but I decided not to spend any more money on DC films because, as far as I’m concerned, those first three attempts fell short. Then _Wonder Woman_ arrived earlier this year. Despite my decision to stop supporting the series financially, I went back and saw it during its opening weekend—partly out of a sense of one last chance, and partly because I wanted to support films with female superheroes in leading roles. I really enjoyed it, which made me eager to return to the DC universe. Now comes _Justice League_. I tend to organize franchises based on my own preferences. When it comes to what I call the “DC disappointments,” _Man of Steel_, _BVS_, and _Suicide Squad_ all left me feeling similarly unsatisfied, though for different reasons, making it hard to determine their exact order. But just as I’m certain that _Wonder Woman_ is my favorite, _Justice League_ sits at the bottom of the list. _Final rating:★½: - Dull/unremarkable. Steer clear if you can._
