A minor setback can ultimately result in something significant, though the journey isn’t easy. It tells a partially true story of someone who created a contemporary hygienic mop. The events and characters shown were based on reality, but adjusted for dramatic effect. And I really liked it; it's quite an inspiring film among all the films nominated for Oscars this year. I also thought Jennifer Lawrence deserved to win for her portrayal of the character. To be honest, I wasn’t particularly drawn to it and just wanted to get through it quickly. However, I ended up enjoying myself immensely, and it instantly became one of my favorite movies from 2015. My expectations were shaped by what I saw in the trailer; I was judging a book by its cover, as they say. I was hesitant at first, but now I’m recommending it to everyone. The film follows a woman raised on her grandmother's encouraging words, who discovers that life is more challenging than she imagined and making a living is incredibly competitive. After numerous hardships, she develops something that transforms both her life and her family's financial situation. As with any new undertaking, challenges appear, and the rest of the film focuses on how she resolves them. It’s a fascinating look at career choices. Forget about doctors, engineers, lawyers, or those who have stable jobs with good salaries; this will definitely motivate countless people to pursue their dreams. The rating seems appropriate, but it's still an underrated movie overall. The acting is superb, there are some humorous moments and also emotional ones, and the direction is from the same person who previously won Oscars for Jennifer Lawrence. I’m not sure what their relationship is like, but they have undeniable chemistry on screen. This is their fourth project together and second with the director, so I hope they collaborate again in the future. It's truly a wonderful film; don’t miss it. 8.5/10
