This movie delivers uncomplicated fun. I’m glad I finally made time for this series! What I anticipated—a good time—is exactly what I received. *John Wick* is genuinely enjoyable! It’s more theatrical than I initially believed, but that wasn't a bad thing. Certain characters disappear rather suddenly, which felt jarring (Clarke Peters deserved better!), while others who should have been eliminated early on somehow remain in the story longer than expected. Keanu Reeves is consistently great to watch. His character is undeniably tough. To be honest, the supporting cast didn’t particularly make an impression—not because they were bad, just that they all seemed roughly equal in quality behind Reeves. Willem Dafoe was probably the strongest among them. I'm eager to see the next installments, and I expect those will be good too, especially given that they likely have larger budgets.
