John Wick stands out as a really good revenge movie, setting a new standard with its impressive visuals, camera work, and Keanu Reeves’ fight choreography. The story follows Mr. Wick as he seeks retribution from a mob leader because of what his son did—killing the man's dog and taking his car. The plot itself isn't complex, but there's considerable detail in the world they created. Reeves shows some acting versatility, though his strength really lies in dispatching enemies with precise shots. It’s satisfying to watch him knock someone out, pause to reload while keeping them pinned, and then finish them off. What I appreciated most was that there's no shaky camera work; everything is easy to see. This is thanks to the performers’ commitment to their martial arts training. It would be great if more movies were made like this—they are becoming increasingly uncommon.
