*Joe Kidd* is good. While not Eastwood’s finest film, the part still provides adequate entertainment. Robert Duvall has a significant appearance as well; it's notable he was in *The Godfather* during the same year. The other performers don’t particularly make an impression, even John Saxon who seems out of place. The story is straightforward and moves along briskly because of its brief length, close to ninety minutes. There’s a funny moment with a train, which adds something too. It's satisfactory enough for my tastes.
