An ambitious reimagining of a beloved musical featuring memorable tunes. Carl Anderson’s portrayal of Judas stands out as particularly strong. Several other cast members also deliver commendable performances, including Barry Dennen in the role of Pontius Pilate; however, Ted Neeley's depiction of Jesus feels somewhat underwhelming. Regardless, it constitutes an intriguing take on the stage production and is worth seeing at least once.
