I wouldn’t suggest this film; it was an empty experience that I won’t be revisiting. I decided to check it out primarily because Sarah Snook appeared appealing and it fell into the horror genre, which I hadn't encountered before. My hopes were for a significant improvement in quality from there. Unfortunately, those expectations weren't met. The initial scenes feel like an unusual decision, serving mainly as a device to place her in a wheelchair. I was eager to connect with that aspect, but it felt contrived—a shortcut to create a sense of vulnerability when the narrative ultimately undermines that feeling. Having used a wheelchair myself, I found this created distance between the character and most viewers because they lack similar experience; it's often isolating. A film needs to be truly compelling to make an audience overlook elements that feel unfamiliar. There are some effective moments involving the ghost, which brought "Evil Dead" to mind. However, it subsequently descended into something resembling two women wrestling in mud, and I’m hoping that wasn’t intentional. The narrative feels disorganized and awkwardly presented, diminishing any potential for intrigue. Even if there were a strong mystery or twist, I believe the movie would have been merely passable; as it stands, it's simply not worth the time. There are far better options available.
