This follow-up is passable and manages to be enjoyable despite its flaws; the shark’s practical effects are decent, even if the whole thing remains quite absurd considering events from the previous film—it seems no one took Brody's concerns seriously. It doesn’t offer anything particularly remarkable, and I can’t imagine wanting to watch it again in a hurry, but it functions as an acceptable sequel. **3.25/5**
