Considering the involvement of Daphne du Maurier and Alfred Hitchcock—names associated with *Rebecca*—one might expect something good. Instead, nearly every aspect fell short. The film’s visuals were questionable, even when considering the era it was made in. Charles Laughton's performance felt exaggerated, reminiscent of Matt Lucas. It drags on considerably; I would suggest skipping this one altogether.
