The unfairness, prejudice, and racism displayed by the police—it’s essentially the same situation if you swap America for India—is likely to provoke strong feelings of outrage. You'll find yourself applauding Chandru, the lawyer played by Suriya. At its heart, this is a really touching story, even though it runs quite long. The performances and direction are both flawless.
