Peter Andre portrays "Gazza," sharing an unbelievable tale with his friend “Johnzie” (Jamie Lomas) in a pub, a story so outlandish that Johnzie anticipates being completely captivated. The situation: Gazza's grandmother is at risk of losing her care home placement unless he can somehow acquire £35,000 – a sum seemingly beyond his reach. That changes when he learns he bears an uncanny resemblance to a Jamaican gangster about to inherit $3 million. His solution? To master the local dialect, grow dreadlocks, and travel with “Winston” (Wil Johnson) to try and persuade people that he’s the genuine heir! Will it succeed? It's ridiculous, certainly. The film is obviously a passion project for Andre and director Fredi Nwaka, who were involved in nearly every aspect of its creation; however, it simply doesn't come together effectively. The writing feels flimsy and forced, and while the supporting actors—particularly “Uncle Godfrey” (Oliver Samuels), who steals several scenes—occasionally bring some energy to the proceedings, the overall feel is closer to an amateur production that frequently falls short. A vibrant soundtrack provides a minor highlight.
