This movie is definitely strange. Let me try to put that another way—it’s really out there. I’m a big fan of Tim Robbins, and it's worth keeping that in mind because this film ranks among his stronger efforts. The story follows a doctor who travels to Vietnam, then abandons his wife, finds new love, and ends up working for the Postal Service—and that's pretty much all I can share about the plot without giving too much away. It’s one of those movies where any detail you might appreciate would be considered a major spoiler... so just go ahead and watch it; I don’t think you’ll regret it. You’ll understand what I mean about the spoilers as things unfold.
