This movie feels very similar to "the 7th Voyage of Sinbad"; it's an exciting fantasy story where Torin Thatcher is particularly memorable playing the over-the-top villain “Pendragon,” who’s set on controlling Princess Elaine and ruling the kingdom. But, might Kerwin Matthews, a recently made knight and former farmhand known for defeating a troll, be her rescuer? While Augie Lohman's effects aren't quite like those of Harryhausen, the film is beautifully vibrant and captivating, filled with action sequences – there’s even a Leprechaun who speaks in verse. I recall really liking this when I was a child watching it on TV.
