A well-made monster movie usually builds suspense and focuses on character relationships so the audience becomes invested in the people confronting the threat. _Itsy Bitsy_ takes an alternate approach, inserting brief scenes of the spider to interrupt what is otherwise awkward family conflict. This strategy isn’t particularly effective.
