The movie’s remarkable visuals really help create its unique feel and are definitely the strongest part about “It Follows.” The film uses the sense of something bad about to happen to scare the audience instead of relying on a typical monster or sudden fright, which feels like a welcome departure. However, I didn't find the basic story particularly captivating, and while the performances were okay, they didn’t really stick with me. What's more, a silly ending makes “It Follows” feel scattered, leading to a disappointing finish. Even though it was pleasant enough to watch, the film doesn't quite live up to the praise it has received.
