It left me wanting something extra when the credits rolled, although that doesn’t mean ‘It Follows’ isn’t a truly excellent movie—it absolutely is. I really like how the film looks; the cinematography is fantastic and the music is good as well. Maika Monroe heads up a strong cast who all do a great job. The core idea behind the story is definitely intriguing, and it manages to build suspense effectively, while the special effects are cleverly done. The storyline has some suggestive elements, which occasionally feel a bit much but are largely necessary for the narrative. I would have liked to learn more about the creatures at the heart of the story, too. It feels like there’s potential for another film here; this is the kind of idea that could easily generate several sequels. One would be enough for me, but I'd still watch another one—as long as it maintains the same atmosphere.
