I thought *’It Ends with Us'* was mostly excellent, even if the ending leaves me wondering about my overall impression. The acting from Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni (am I alone in thinking he resembles Runar from *'Ice Age'?*...), Brandon Sklenar, Jenny Slate—really, even Isabela Ferrer and Alex Neustaedter (*aside from the resemblance*)—is fantastic. There seemed to be a genuine connection between Lively and Baldoni, and also Lively and Sklenar, which is quite an accomplishment to pull off twice. The film moves along at a good speed; all the other important aspects like editing, music, and so on are well-executed and only add to its merits. Still, the ending fell short somewhat. I believe it manages to recover itself and deliver a positive resolution, but the way the relationship between Lively's Lily and Baldoni’s Atlas is resolved made me feel slightly uncomfortable. A few other moments gave me that same feeling, though they were clearly intentional. It was funny noticing that I was likely one of very few men (or at least among a small number) in a full cinema watching this movie. When I left, the audience looked like Will Smith’s scene from *'The Pursuit of Happyness'*—except it was just women everywhere. It was a little strange, to be honest. Apparently, my willingness to "watch anything!" can sometimes lead me astray!
