It Ends With Us encounters some challenges while attempting to merge intense dramatic elements with a standard romantic storyline, though it does provide a somewhat insightful look at inherited trauma and abusive relationships. The movie feels predictable and lacks the depth that its subject matter calls for, but it remains impactful largely because of the actors’ solid portrayals, Justin Baldoni's empathetic direction, and the important lessons presented to viewers.
