While I wouldn’t claim to be an expert on French films, particularly those from the nineteen nineties, I did find myself appreciating this unusual drama. The direction was solid and Maggie Cheung, portraying a character based on herself, along with Nathalie Richard, gave noteworthy performances. There were several memorable moments, notably a dinner scene and another sequence where Cheung is prowling around her hotel room in a feline-themed outfit. I didn’t grasp every aspect of the story, but it proved to be quite enjoyable nonetheless. **4.0/5**
