Bela Lugosi delivers a commendable performance in a part reminiscent of “Jekyll and Hyde,” portraying a man who leads a respectable life during daylight hours but becomes a murderer under the cover of darkness—seemingly compelled by visions of his deceased wife returning from beyond. The plot itself isn't particularly strong; truthfully, aside from Clarence Muse’s portrayal of "Evans," the butler, most of the other actors could have been expendable. It appears to be a low-budget production with inadequate lighting, essentially designed to showcase Lugosi, but seeing his work makes it worthwhile, and thankfully, the runtime is just over an hour.
