This film isn't good; a simple assessment really. The initial installment wasn’t particularly impressive either, but this one follows in its footsteps. The visual effects are obviously computer-generated, and the performers lack appeal, with the exception of a few, while the storyline itself is simply not well done. It’s yet another movie featuring young characters navigating a bleak future where ignorance seems to have overtaken everyone. We're presented with the protagonist's internal conflict regarding her own sense of responsibility, facing off against inept adversaries who conveniently allow her to survive so she can fulfill her destiny as a savior figure. I suppose one redeeming quality is the prominence given to powerful female characters; beyond that, it’s best to pass on this one.
