It occurs to me that perhaps experiencing the _Insidious_ series in order of its narrative timeline would be a better approach than watching them as they were released. I'm not completely sure about that though; it would require another viewing to confirm whether my suggestion is accurate, and frankly, I don’t really feel like doing that given that this film and the previous one weren’t particularly good. I find the underlying lore of _Insidious_ quite intriguing, and _The Last Key_ did contribute something to it. However, if later entries are going to be of this standard, then perhaps we shouldn't bother with finding out what happens regarding that recurring cliffhanger they’ve used for the past three films. _Final rating:★★ - It had elements I liked, but ultimately didn’t work well._
