Infinity Pool has a genuinely captivating premise—something fresh and absorbing. It’s structured around a plot reminiscent of The Purge, but with a significant alteration. The film explores a scenario where those who are privileged face no repercussions, which proves to be an unusual and stimulating idea. Still, the movie doesn't maintain its direction for long, and the narrative becomes excessively strange. What happens later on feels bewildering, and it’s hard to discern any clear point being made. The cast delivers solid performances, and the film looks impressive technically. The visuals and camerawork are skillfully done; however, they aren't enough to overcome the convoluted and confusing plot. Ultimately, Infinity Pool is based on a promising notion, but the way it’s presented falls short. It gets overly complicated and doesn’t have a clear purpose, which results in a disappointing experience for viewers. Despite some positive aspects, this film ultimately fails to impress.
