Given the track records of both main actors, I didn’t have high hopes for "In The Lost Lands," and my expectations were met with disappointment. Dave Bautista may not be receiving an Academy Award any time soon, but he does occasionally appear in films that are worthwhile. Milla Jovovich, however, has a history of starring in underwhelming science fiction projects stretching back to the initial Resident Evil film. Her presence alone now tends to dampen any excitement I might feel about seeing a movie. Whether it's simply bad timing or a matter of accepting roles for financial reasons, her films consistently rate around 2 or 3 out of 10. This particular one falls within that range as well; there’s a sense that it could have been better than it turned out to be.
