I’m surprised to say that *In the Lost Lands* didn't quite connect with me. It's strange because I thought the actors were all great; it was simply the story itself that didn’t grab my attention. To be honest, trying to explain what happened would be difficult, even having just seen it. The performances are definitely a strong point though. Dave Bautista is good in his role, as is Milla Jovovich. Arly Jover does well, and so do Amara Okereke and Fraser James. Simon Lööf isn't quite as impressive of the main cast, but he’s still perfectly acceptable. It doesn’t often happen that I dislike a movie where the actors deliver solid performances. The visuals and the created world were enjoyable too; it truly is just the plot that holds this film back for me. That’s disappointing, because it feels like there was potential here that wasn't realized.
