The movie has some really strong points, as well as some weaknesses, concerning the portrayal of the FBI. After *Harry Potter*, Daniel Radcliffe seemed to have difficulty establishing a clear identity for his roles; he appeared to be experimenting with different kinds of characters. I believe this is one of his best performances so far. At first, I was surprised because his appearance didn't seem right for an FBI agent—it reminded me of Captain America when he initially joined the army. However, as the story unfolded, it became clear that the character’s design was intentional. I found that aspect quite enjoyable, even though the film tackles a serious subject, especially considering its inspiration from real events; it's definitely something to think about. The opening five minutes essentially give away the entire plot. It begins with what appears to be the conclusion of an undercover operation by the FBI. While we don’t see how things got to that point, a new mission follows—a similar situation which is the focus of this film. Some people have labeled it as propaganda, but I think it's more like a valuable message movie for ordinary viewers about how homeland security forces can be misused. They were doing their jobs, certainly, but in order to advance within the organization, they take risks that unfortunately change them from simply being watchdogs into something much more dangerous. Essentially, infiltration involves encouraging those who are considered "bad" to commit acts, so they can be caught red-handed. It’s acceptable if it leads to apprehending a genuine criminal, but innocent people shouldn't be manipulated into doing wrong and then punished for it. It's as if there aren't any truly bad people; rather, they are created and then arrested. If you watch the film with some thought, you will understand what I am trying to say. It turned out to be a better movie than I expected, and Daniel Radcliffe’s performance was the standout element. A relatively unknown director handled it well enough. It's not essential viewing, but I would still recommend watching it to see the good, the bad, and the ugly sides of the FBI force. _7/10_
