Immortals has the feel of an over-the-top imagining of Greek myths, and while the cast appears to have spent considerable time under bronzer, it somehow suits the film's look. Visually, the movie is impressive; director Tarsem Singh presents a striking and unusual interpretation of mythology that’s more akin to a moving artwork than a typical action movie. The combat sequences are certainly the best part—they're elaborate, fierce, and full of energy.
