Dan Stevens isn't just good-looking; this film demonstrates he’s capable of portraying a German robot reasonably well. It's irritating, though! Maren Eggert portrays a scientist who consents to participate in an experiment—pairing her with an android designed to fulfill all of her requirements—in order to obtain financial backing. Initially doubtful, she brings him home and they experience several amusing situations as their connection grows; he’s also introduced to her family and acquaintances, sometimes more successfully than others. The film unfolds at a relaxed speed, featuring a humorous storyline, two captivating performances, and possessing an unusual capacity to make you think. If we were able to purchase our perfect partner online, how flawless would we desire them to be? While the conclusion felt slightly over-the-top for my taste, I still found it quite enjoyable.
