The premise of 'IF' seemed promising, and there are some appealing visual effects, but ultimately, I found myself feeling quite bored while watching. It seems geared toward a younger audience or families, even though the underlying message didn’t really resonate with me. The film establishes a pleasant atmosphere initially (at least until Blossom & Co. appears), and it does end on an emotional note, however, most of what happens in between just falls flat. While Phoebe Waller-Bridge is among the voices featured, along with several other recognizable actors, Steve Carell was the only one who made a real impression—and his part isn't substantial. Cailey Fleming delivers a good performance as the lead; I’ve always appreciated her acting from her work in 'The Walking Dead,' and I wish she had more screen time as Judith. Ryan Reynolds, an actor I generally enjoy watching, doesn’t quite seem right for this role. I appreciate seeing him try different kinds of roles, but his character simply isn't developed enough to justify casting someone of his stature. I would describe it as 'average.' It does boast what might be Brad Pitt's finest performance, though.
