The narrative of Identity contains one of the most impressive surprises I’ve encountered. It expertly keeps viewers off balance throughout. What initially appears to be a standard slasher film—set within a neglected motel during a storm—quickly proves itself to be far from ordinary. The script is exceptionally inventive, resulting in an unpredictable experience that maintains suspense and engagement from beginning to end. Even those skilled at anticipating plot developments or identifying killers will find themselves repeatedly taken by surprise as the story unfolds. Though not flawless, Identity’s originality and remarkable ingenuity make it a film worth watching.
