It’s an enjoyable film that I plan to revisit and happily suggest others check out. Having followed Michelle Trachtenberg’s career since “Harriet the Spy,” combined with my interest in science, made for a pretty safe bet—it would have taken considerable effort to disappoint me. The initial concept seems somewhat flimsy; it's a "coming of age" narrative centered on the physics involved in figure skating. However, the way it’s presented is quite well done. Kim Cattrall, Hayden Panettiere, and the rest of the cast convincingly portray the intensity within the ice-skating world, creating an environment that Michelle Trachtenberg and Joan Cusack's characters must navigate. Ultimately, it evolves into a narrative about dedication and feels genuinely positive and motivating, even considering how strange things get. I feel confident knowing that whenever I choose to watch this movie, I’m in for a good time.
