Lingesan, portrayed by Vikram, aspires to be crowned Mr India in the world of bodybuilding and hails from a small town in Tamil Nadu. He also has a deep affection for supermodel Diya, played by Amy Jackson. Things take an unexpected turn when Lingesan wins the Mr Tamil Nadu competition due to his impressive physique, which leads to lucrative modeling opportunities. Surprisingly, he finds himself working alongside Diya. The question is, how did this opportunity arise? The reason lies in John, a male supermodel who exhibits arrogant behavior. When Diya refuses his advances, he threatens her career. In response, she cleverly befriends Lingesan, renames him Lee, and takes him to China for a commercial shoot. She even pretends to have romantic feelings for him, transforming the initially reserved man into an appealing figure on screen. As Lee rises in fame and fortune, he accumulates several adversaries. These include a disgruntled bodybuilder from his local gym, John—the model whose position he displaced—an arrogant advertising executive whom he challenged with his values, and a gay makeup artist who was rejected. All of these individuals seek revenge against Lingesan. This group of five, including someone whose identity is kept secret for suspense, plots to retaliate against Lee. They subject him to a drastic transformation, leaving him unrecognizable and bearing a striking resemblance to Ephialtes from the film *300*. However, there’s still hope; our hero also plans his own retribution against those who have taken away his love and appearance. It's best to set aside any skepticism and immerse yourself in this story told by Shankar, known for large-scale films like *Indian*, *Sivaji: The Boss*, and *Enthiran*. The film is beautifully shot by PC Sreeram in stunning locations across China and India, complemented by impressive computer-generated imagery. The movie succeeds because at its heart it's a straightforward romantic thriller. Amy Jackson looks lovely, but Vikram’s performance truly stands out, evoking strong emotions whether he appears attractive or altered. Santhanam provides welcome moments of humor. The initial fight sequence in the gymnasium and the BMX bike chase on Chinese rooftops are exciting to watch. It is pure entertainment designed for those who enjoy classic fairy tales.
