The year is 2035, and robots have become integrated into everyday life. A detective who harbors deep suspicion toward robots finds himself investigating what appears to be the suicide of a robotic scientist. As he digs deeper, his doubts might turn out to be justified. This is a skillfully crafted and thrilling science fiction film with advanced technology, impressive action sequences—the robot assault in the tunnel is particularly noteworthy—and characters that are easy to root for, even one who's a robot named Sonny. The narrative is logical and coherent, and there’s also a cat involved. There aren't many shortcomings here; it’s simply an enjoyable experience.
