The visual effects featuring the creatures were impressive when they appeared, but those moments comprised only a small portion of the film, which wasn't aligned with how it was advertised. I don’t mind films taking unexpected turns, however, _I Kill Giants_ didn’t provide enough engaging elements to earn my full endorsement. There are some intriguing aspects present, and while I felt let down, it certainly wasn't among the worst movies I’ve watched this year. _Final rating:★★½ - It had many things that resonated with me, but ultimately it didn’t quite succeed._
