The film "Hypnotic" seemed poised to offer a truly inventive experience, full of surprising developments and absorbing narrative threads. However, even with some intriguing scenes and strong performances from the actors, Robert Rodriguez and Max Borenstein produced something that feels disjointed and overly complicated. It doesn't come across as sharp or ingenious as the creators seem to intend. I can’t recall another film that relied so heavily on clumsy explanations—a constant stream of dialogue meant to clarify every plot development and character arc. Ultimately, it was a letdown. Rating: C
