I found it enjoyable myself, but when considering the rating, honesty is necessary. Maddie, an author who lost her hearing and voice as a child, now lives in a secluded area, distanced from others. One day, she unexpectedly finds herself targeted by a masked man who has already killed her neighbor. That’s when the game of cat and mouse begins. She secures herself inside while he attempts to break in. As this situation unfolds over hours, numerous unexpected developments occur. The remaining story's outcome needs to be witnessed firsthand. The film's strength lies in its simplicity; there was no attempt at unnecessary complexity. Thrillers often rely on jump scares and loud noises, but those elements are used sparingly here. The isolated setting is understandable, as such crimes can easily happen in these kinds of locations. This feels like a showcase for Kate Siegel’s talent—in my opinion, her finest work to date.
