This is a solid pick if you’re looking for a thriller. The film centers on a writer who lives by herself; she has meningitis in the past and can't hear or speak. She chose to live apart from her family—her parents and sister—in an isolated area, with only one couple as neighbors. Another detail is that she hasn’t been communicating with her boyfriend. Then, one night, someone enters her home, and when she realizes she isn't alone, it turns out to be a game of cat and mouse for survival. I won’t give away any more details about what happens next. It had been some time since I saw something quite like this, moving away from the typical ghost stories. There were moments that could have been improved, but overall, it was enjoyable. I really liked this movie and would recommend it to friends. The acting stood out: John Gallagher Jr., known for films such as *10 Cloverfield Lane*, is in it. Kate Siegel also appears. My rating is 8/10.
