The production values were quite good, particularly at the start, and there was an interesting focus on audio design. While the script wasn’t exceptional, it served its purpose effectively as a straightforward horror movie. There were moments when it became intensely irritating, but I suspect that was intentional. It's unlikely to receive any accolades for performances or writing, though it proved entertaining and is better than many contemporary horror films that feel bland. The film brought to mind 'Don’t Breathe,' another strong entry in the genre, because both movies challenged established horror tropes by having the central characters deal with a significant sensory deprivation.
