I don’t recall seeing these movies back in the nineties—at least, I don’t think so—though I do remember watching *Class Act* with Kid N Play repeatedly. It's strange. The title probably made it seem uninteresting; since I wasn’t into parties much, a movie solely about them didn't really grab my attention. I decided to give it a try today and honestly, I wasn't that impressed—it just wasn't very funny. Even Martin Lawrence, who I typically find amusing, failed to elicit any laughs from me. Some moments were alright, but the battle rap scene was definitely the highlight; it’s the only part I really enjoyed. Overall though, it’s a pretty mild comedy, and I spent too much time noticing Kid's unusual hairstyle. You’d be better off watching *Hangin With The Homeboys* with Doug E. Doug and John Leguizamo, or *Friday* with Cube, or even *Class Act*.
