I'm still on the fence about this movie; it’s hard to get excited about. It was just alright. I even stopped playback during the opening moments. Even though the characters initially seem intriguing, the story follows a familiar path. There are some humorous elements, but they diminish as the film progresses; the people involved are pleasant enough, but not particularly endearing. The movie feels very average in every way—just sort of there. Despite dealing with serious topics, it doesn’t really explore them deeply. What's more, the title, promotional artwork, and tagline don’t seem to match what’s on screen. I suppose I would only watch this because Brittany Snow is in it, though this isn’t one of her better roles—it does somehow feel appropriate for the part she plays. The storyline touches on addiction, relationships between mothers and daughters, hitting rock bottom, and moments of clarity... It's almost like Parachute? (No disrespect intended). It was great to see Jordana Brewster; I don’t know much about her work, but I can say with certainty that *D.E.B.S.* from 2004 is still my favorite. Casting Alexis G. Zall felt really random—the girl from *The Fault in Our Stars*? It seemed arbitrary and made me laugh, but it didn’t make sense.
