I’m not sure I actively hated this movie, but *‘Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves'* just feels pretty unremarkable. This second sequel in the *‘Honey, I Shrunk the Kids'* franchise has the adults as the ones being shrunk—the title makes that clear—and it's simply dull. It’s a noticeably inferior version of the 1989 film. The earlier movies weren't laugh-out-loud funny for me, but they did have some amusing parts; this one doesn't offer any. Rick Moranis (as Wayne) and Stuart Pankin (as Gordon) are fine enough, while Eve Gordon is maybe even a better Diane than Marcia Strassman—though that’s not really saying much since neither actress is particularly impressive because of the film itself. The younger actors aren't bad either; a very young Mila Kunis has a small part. The movie concludes with a couple of uplifting themes, and it somehow manages to make daddy long legs look endearing, which is something. Still, it’s a bit of a slog getting through its 74-minute running time. Just so-so.
