It was a pleasant experience. I wasn’t familiar with 'Home on the Range' until fairly recently, and considering how much I enjoyed it, I’m a little surprised it hadn't come to my attention sooner. It isn't particularly profound or significant, but it provides good entertainment for families, and younger viewers will most likely find it appealing. What's more, it doesn’t have that typical Disney feel. The voice cast features several immediately recognizable performers. Steve Buscemi, Cuba Gooding Jr., Jennifer Tilly, and Judi Dench portray Wesley, Buck, Grace, and Mrs. Caloway, respectively. In addition to them, Randy Quaid delivers a good performance as Alameda Slim, while Sam Levine provides some mild amusement as the Willie Brothers. The story itself isn't particularly striking or unforgettable, but I did have an enjoyable time watching it play out, and that’s really all you can hope for. It’s a worthwhile movie.
