It feels like audiences are looking for something fresh, and this movie attempts to deliver that. It stands apart from the typical fare, although primarily through its characters; the underlying narrative about jealousy felt familiar. The film centers on a woman of middle age who’s contemplating a restart after her marriage faces serious problems. Her life takes an unexpected turn when she encounters three young people at a club. What unfolds is intended to be an awakening for her, but it isn't without complications—potentially more than the resolution she seeks, particularly if she envisions a lasting change. The film details these challenges and their eventual resolution in the remainder of its runtime. Coming from a new director who also penned the script, I’ve noticed a rise in films directed by women this year, signaling a shift in the industry. This is a respectable movie, certainly not as disappointing as some might suggest. Reese Witherspoon gives a strong performance; she excels in these kinds of roles. Really, it's worth watching for her portrayal. The three younger actors also did well. I appreciated how the story progressed and especially liked the ending. It’s geared towards an older audience, those 25 or 30 and up, because they’re more likely to grasp the nuances involved. Also, viewers with progressive viewpoints will find it appealing, as traditional relationship values are set aside to tell this story. Overall, I think it's a worthwhile film to see once. 7/10
