The conclusion of "Holocaust 2000" arrives just as things should be reaching their peak, when Robert needs to confront Angel and stop his plans. Instead, the movie simply stops there, leaving everything feeling unresolved. It doesn't quite succeed, particularly when compared to other significant horror movies from the seventies. Films like "The Exorcist" (1973) and "The Omen" (1976) had a certain power that made them gripping and thrilling to watch, and those moments are likely to remain startling for years to come; this one doesn't achieve that level. What the creators have done is make a film with decent timing, but it ultimately falls flat, failing to be truly captivating or stick in your mind, which feels like a real letdown.
